“I’ve worked in local government for more than 30 years and learned early that Arizona Forward brings all voices to the discussion to build a more sustainable future. It’s not always easy for rural jurisdictions and small towns to have a seat at the table and the opportunity to collaborate on these big statewide issues. I appreciate the unique way in which Arizona Forward brings together a diverse mix of business and local government interests to improve our communities.”
Coconino County Manager Cynthia Seelhammer
“Arizona Forward continues to be a broad and diverse organization of thought leaders brought together by the goal of improving our communities and environment. The involvement of the people within this non-profit organization are continuously encouraging and assisting in our mission to provide future healthy and sustainable communities within Arizona. It continues to be an honor to work with these great people and this historic organization on the elements that impact the future of Arizona.”
Dave Skinner, HDR
“SRP is a founding member of Arizona Forward and title sponsor of the Arizona Forward Environmental Excellence Awards. Through this important partnership, we work together to advocate a balance between economic development and environmental quality.”
Lori Singleton, SRP
"Transportation needs are inherent in our society and, unfortunately, the industry produces the second largest source of ghg emissions. As a member of the Transportation / Air Issue Committee, we get to meet with other transportation businesses working towards bluer skies for the Grand Canyon State."
Allan Yang, U-Haul International
48 Years of Environmental Stewardship
Arizona Forward was founded as Valley Forward in 1969, one year before the first Earth Day. We expanded statewide in 2013.
We mobilize business leaders and policymakers to leverage their collective power to influence how we best grow our communities, stimulate our economy and enhance our environment.
Our diverse membership of large corporations and small businesses, along with municipal, county and state agencies, educational institutions, related nonprofits and concerned citizens help ensure: smart growth and development, efficient transportation, improved air quality, responsible water management, energy alternatives and meaningful education.
