CITY OF GLENDALE - Waste

Classroom and large presentations by city staff are offered throughout the school year for Kindergarten through 9th Grade. Presentations promote recycling and education awareness of environmental for better management of the waste we generate. City staff will also promote recycling at evening meetings and special events. Field trips are offered to small groups of children and adults at the Materials Recovery Facility to further explain the efforts and reasons for recycling. Teachers can also contact city staff about Recyclemania, a recycling collections challenge between classes of the same grade for schools within Glendale.

48 Years of Environmental Stewardship

Arizona Forward was founded as Valley Forward in 1969, one year before the first Earth Day. We expanded statewide in 2013.

We mobilize business leaders and policymakers to leverage their collective power to influence how we best grow our communities, stimulate our economy and enhance our environment.

Our diverse membership of large corporations and small businesses, along with municipal, county and state agencies, educational institutions, related nonprofits and concerned citizens help ensure: smart growth and development, efficient transportation, improved air quality, responsible water management, energy alternatives and meaningful education.
